ATHEMUS ,, E.C.BUXTON   my plants are rather straggly but give a good supply of cheerful daisies that are good for posies      out of stock at present

CONVOLVULUS CNEORUM   An attractive small shrub even when not in flower as the leaves have a silver sheen. As with other silver and grey leaved plants it enjoys an exposed sunny position               out of stock at present

CAMPANULA VALLII     An unusual looking shrubby plant is supposed to prefer stony soil but mine is doing OK in good Taranaki loam. Pictured are two side shoots from a 75cm spire of waxy pink flowers.

FRANCOA RAMOSA  this forms a leafy clump from which 90cm flower.ing stems emerge.

out of stock a present

GLORIOSA  BUTTERFLY        This one grows taller than the others pictured and forms may flowering branches --and takes a lot more support if it is not to make a tangled mass  difficult  for picking.Tubers are available October to mid January

GLORIOSA REDS  -The smaller flower is from a plant grown outside in the garden while the larger one is from the tunnel house.I leave the out door ones in the ground all year and they begin flowering late January.

GLORIOSA PINKS  Gloriosas come from deep red to palest pink . Plant tuber horizontally and cover 75-100 cm. If  among shrubs, will cling with their leaf tendrils and not need extra support.Small tubers give small plants that wont need support.

NIEREMBERGIA  BLUE CUPS  The stems  and flowers look so delicate but they are standing up well to our continual winds this year--but they are better with calmer weather.

ODONTHOSPERMUM    A cheerful,  low growing daisy that has survived a lot of rough treatment , it seems to prefer full sun.

PELARGONIUM, APPLE BLOSSOM           or better known as a  geranium.

PELARGONIUM DEEP CRIMSON              I have trouble propagating this one so only a few available at present.

PHYGELIUS  YELLOW TRUMPET  This plant like its sister Salmon leap is for the back of the border or in that awkward corner which it will fill in 2 or 3 years.

PHYGELIUS SALMON LEAP  I find this one suckers more than Yellow trumpet so has been banished to my informal  hedge or low shelter beltwhere its 1 to 2meter  growth will be of benefit.

CRIMSON SCUTALLARIA  If given an occasional trim this should remain a compact bushy plant and be a mass of bloom through the Summer.
